POSITION 5: DESCRIBE POSITION AND FOLLOW DIRECTIONS ON MAPS OF FAMILIAR PLACES

Describing position involves representing objects and places in two-dimensional spaces – maps. Map interpretation begins with familiar places, leading to a recognition that placing a grid on the map better allows us to more accurately and quickly describe position and give and follow directions.
