MG 67 – ADJACENT AND VERTICALLY OPPOSITE ANGLES
Children identify and classify angles as right (90ᴼ), acute, obtuse, straight, reflex and revolution.
They identify and classify angles in a right angle as having a sum of 90ᴼ, angles on a straight line as having a sum of 180ᴼ and angles at a point as having a sum of 360ᴼ.
They identify adjacent angles as angles that are side-by-side that share a vertex.
They classify adjacent angles that form a right angle (90ᴼ), a straight angle (180ᴼ) or an angle of revolution (360ᴼ).
They identify vertically opposite angles as angles that are opposite one another that share a vertex.
They classify vertically opposite angles, identifying that they are equal in size.
They use these understandings to find unknown angles.
