MG 31 – COMPARE ANGLES USING A SQUARE AS A RIGHT ANGLE

Children identify angles in 2 ways –  as the relative slant of two arms that meet at vertex, and as the amount of turn around a vertex.
They explain that the length of the arms is not important to the angle size. They describe right angles as the arms and vertex of two perpendicular lines.
They compare angle size using a square and direct alignment, describing angles as less than, equal to or greater than a right angle.
