MG 30 – METRIC UNITS USED TO MEASURE LENGTH (CURRENTLY FREE)
Children identify that metric measurement is based on multiplicative place value by multiplying and dividing units by 10 get the next unit.
They are introduced to the history of the units used to measure the length in the metric system of measurement, (metres, decimetres, centimetres and millimetres).
They estimate, measure and record lengths in combinations of metres and centimetres, in centimetres, in combinations of centimetres and millimetres, and in millimetres.
