MD 22 – DIVISIBILITY TESTS

Children conduct divisibility tests to identify simply whether numbers are divisible by 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10.
This will then allow them to more efficiently find highest common factors for adding and subtracting fractions with related fractions, and to simplify fractions, and creating equivalent simpler division calculations resulting from both numbers being divided by a common factor.

Children investigate Highest Common Factor, Equivalent Calculations using Factors, and Divisibility Tests together – integrated Multiplication and Division 20, Multiplication and Division 21
