The ELEMENTS in this group both involve dividing quotitively, and the difference between dividing quotitively and partitively.
Quotitive division (groups of …) allows for skip counting which involves thinking additively.
Partitive division (… equal groups) allows us to identity fractions and involves thinking multiplicatively.
It is vital that students are able to dividide both quotitively and partitively.
