Measurement and Geometry concepts are intrinsically linked because we use the features and properties of shapes and objects to determine how they can be measured.

Measurement and Geometry and Position and Patterns all involve the understanding and explaining the 3 dimensions. Students as young as 5 years old can easily understand that the 3 dimensions are up-and-down, left-to-right, and front-to-back.
