AS 13 – ADD AND SUBTRACT 10s NUMBERS COUNTING BY 10s
Children use their developing understanding of counting forwards and backwards by 10s on the decade, explaining which digit changes and why (Place Value 12, Patterns and Algebra 11), and Standard and Non-standard Place Value of Three-digit Numbers (Place Value 15) to investigate adding and subtracting tens numbers counting by 10s.
As children are investigating adding and subtracting, they continue to investigate these place value concepts.
